Thank You Lord
“That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works.” (Ps 26:7 [KJV])
Thank you Lord for looking down from heaven and seeing the plight of mankind, lost in their sin and eternally separated from You. Thank you Lord for doing something about it by robing Yourself in flesh and coming down to earth. Showing us how to live a godly life, then suffering and dying for the sins of all humanity. Thank you Lord for rising again from the tomb on the third day, showing Yourself victorious over death, hell and the grave. And giving to those that believe, the gift of eternal life that we might be with You in a glorious paradise and live in mansions created by You especially for us.
Thank you Lord for letting us live in America, a land of freedom and democracy, when there are so many lands that do not have these liberties. Thank you Lord for making it possible for us to have fullness of bread, for our jobs, our homes, our family, our friends. Thank you Lord for our cars and computers and all the other creature comforts that we have. Thank you for health and strength in our bodies. Thank you Lord for giving us pastors after Your own heart, for songs that we can sing to You. Thank you for Your guidance, patience, kindness and longsuffering. Thank you for ruling and reigning in our hearts. But most of all we thank you for the gift of Your Spirit, for it is by your Spirit that we know You and can experience the love that You have toward us.
As we gather together with our families this Thanksgiving to give thanks unto You, Lord, bless our families, bless them spiritually and bless them physically with health and strength, and save our lost love ones.
You are the almighty God, worthy of all praise. You are eternal, immortal, the only wise God. And we give You thanks.
