Light Your Candle
Psalms 18:28 “For thou wilt light my candle: the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness.”
Jehovah God is the light of heaven, an actual light, a sun, if you will, that lights heaven. The Bible says in I Timothy 1:6, “Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting.” Suppose a tiny portion of that sun comes to earth and overshadows a woman called Mary so that she becomes pregnant. When that child is born it is now a representation of Jehovah on this earth. So, when we see Jesus, we see the son of God. As he walks upon the earth he is a representation of that light that is in heaven. The same elements of light that are in the Father are also in the Son.
When the 120 in the upper room received the Holy Ghost, on the day of Pentecost, that same light was now inside of them. The Holy Ghost that is in them is like a candle. From one candle you can light numerous other candles and the same elements that are in the first candle are in all. Everyone has a candle inside and it is not lit until you receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost. When you receive the Holy Ghost, your light is the same light that came from heaven. Each person on the earth has the ability to have their candle lit. Jesus said, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that receiveth whomsoever I send receiveth me; and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.” John 13:20.
Every single candle has the exact same elements. Over the past 2000 years the Holy Ghost has been poured out and everyone on the earth today who has the baptism of the Holy Ghost has these same elements. We are all one in Christ, because we have Christ, the light, dwelling in us. Matthew 5:16 “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” One day soon God is going to gather up all the candles that are scattered throughout the earth and take them to heaven andwhen He does they will be as one light in heaven. Is your candle lit with the baptism of the Holy Ghost?
“Ye are the light of the world.” Matthew 5:14.
