A Letter From God – Lindsay Schmidt

My Dear Child,

You haven’t spoken to me in quite a while, but I see you. I see you rising up early to go to work, “Good Morning my child” I say to you, but I get no response. It’s okay, I understand you must hurry to get to work. I call to you throughout your day. I want to show you things, things that will change your life, make you happier. I want to bring peace to you, my peace, a peace that passes all understanding (Philippians 4:7). I miss you my child. The conversations we used to have. I know things are hard right now, but if you would only talk to me about them, I could show you why you’re facing them right now. I could bring some understanding. You know I don’t like for you to have confusion in life (1 Corinthians 14:33).

I remember when you would come crying to me, wanting my help and I would be able to comfort you (2 Corinthians 1:3-5). Now you cry out, but not to me. You sit in your room alone and you are bitter, full of sadness, and grief and I just wish you would let me in so that I can help you. I have the answer you need. It is in me. This world does not hold the answers for my children. It only makes you want more of what you shouldn’t have, things that take you down a wrong path. My path, the one that is beautiful, true and good, it will take you to places you could never imagine. But sadly, there are not many who choose my path (Matthew 7:13). The world seems to have so much to offer, but it is nothing compared to what I have planned for my children, for you. All the things of this world will one day very soon fall away and I will be there. I want you to be there with me. I want you to choose to trust in me and to give me your future so that I can take you on a journey in Me. I will fill you up with righteousness, love, show you how to handle the tough situations, give you the map you need to face life, walk beside you through it all, give you people to help, surround you with a family of my people who are like you, they chose me as well. You won’t be alone. This world will leave you with nothing, I will give you life never ending. One better than you dreamed up as a child. Give me just a little of your time and I will show you. I can open your eyes if you open your heart to me. Choose me.

The devil is seeking you out, he knows how to hurt you and he will not stop trying until he is successful in doing so. I can give you the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18). I can equip you with the tools you need to be stronger than the enemies that will come against you. I want to give you a gift, the gift of my holy spirit (Acts 2:38). I will not only give you a new life, but my promise is to your children as well. Teach them about me, tell them of my goodness and show them how to talk with me, be an example unto them, and I will hold them by my side all the days of their lives. Trust in me and lean on my word for it is truth (John 17:17). Above anything else, always remember that I love you. I created you and therefore I know everything about you. Things no one else knows. You are my child and will always be my love, my bride. No matter what you do, how great your sin, or how far you fall. I know the end and the beginning, and I love you through everything you will face. I love you in your darkest place. I love you in your brightest moments. I love you through the biggest tears you cry. I love you in your moments of fear. I love you in the happiest of smiles. I love you through your doubt and your unbelief. I love you through your lies. For I already know all you will do in your life and I chose to love you through it all. Do not doubt my love for you (John 3:16). I chose you in the beginning of time. Choose me now so I can give you a better life. All it takes is a conversation. Will you talk with me today? Will you choose a life with me today? I hope so.

Your Loving Father,
God

He gives us Roots so we can Fly. Roots and Wings.
