The Answer – Lindsay Schmidt
March 1, 2019

As I sit and think on the world around me, the world we live in right now, I hear of babies being aborted after being born, of the internet teaching our babies to commit suicide and to kill their families, of missionaries being killed, war going on in countries all over the world, anger breaking out everywhere because of different opinions, mothers ganging up on mothers for the world to see because of differences in opinions. I sit and think and I ask myself this question, “what does the world need?” Some may think that the world needs more money because money solves problems. Some may say that the world needs a different president. Some may say the world needs more puppies. Some may think that the world needs less bad people. Others may say that the world needs more good people. Some people may say that the world needs Jesus. Whatever you think the answer is to this question, the answer may surprise you. You see the answer is in the word, where we find every right, good and true thing. Let me answer the question like this:

Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few – Matthew 9:37-38

See there it is; the answer. What the world needs is people who have decided to be a labourer. People who have decided that they will give up themselves and live for God. God is already here. He says so in Hebrews 13:5, “…I will never leave thee nor forsake thee.” He has been here with us since the beginning of time and will never leave us. He has done His part and now it is up to us to do ours. To seek Him out. To discover Him. To love Him and all He is. And then we can go out into this dark world and we may begin laboring. We can go forward with the truth we hold in our hearts, the light we have shining round about us, the word we hold in our hands, and we can show the world what true love is, what true joy is, not happiness that is fleeting, but joy everlasting. We can show the souls in this world what peace is. A peace that passes all understanding (philippians 4:7).

The world needs an answer. An answer that will bring us all out of this sadness, this dark place we are in and show us what God can do if we let Him. The people of the world need to release their hold on things that don’t matter, that don’t give what we need, the things that are taking us farther from the answer. We must all understand that evil doesn’t take a day off. That the enemy will continue to destroy day in and day out and will not give up. But we don’t have to let him win in our lives. We can grab ahold of God and have victory over the enemy. Evil is leaking into our everyday lives. It is all around us. Now it is time for a people, a called people, an anointed people, to rise up and to put on our armor and fight on the winning team. Take hold of your own life. Get to a prayer closet and have some conversations with the one who holds the victory in His hands. He will give you the answers you have been looking for in all the wrong places. It is in Him that we will see what this world needs. It needs you. Me. All of us together. The enemy can’t touch what isn’t his. So get under God’s umbrella of protection and love and receive the victory this world needs. The answer starts with one.

He gives us Roots so we can Fly. Roots and Wings.
