A father is a guide to help us on our journey.
A father is a listening ear whenever we get down and stuck.
A father is a shoulder to cry on when we have no other way to feel.
A father is a strong hand when we need to be carried through life’s struggles.
A father is a smile to share in a laugh.
A father is a joke to bring on a smile.
A father is wisdom when we need a wise word.
A father is strong when we need strength.
A father is a light when we are in a dark spot.
A father is an “I love you” when we mess up a lot.
A father is not perfect, a father will fail.
A father does not have to be blood.
A father is not alone in his duties.
A father’s guide is up above, the light that will always shine.
To look up to whenever he gets lost.
We all have a guide, a father’s love, a light to chase after.
Just open your eyes to see them there.
Proverbs 22:6 says Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it. Fathers, give a word of wisdom to set a child on the right path. Allow God to use you in all situations. You are put into lives to be the guiding light, the weight bearer, the listening ear. You are not alone, however, you have a God to help you through. You were created in His image. Bearing all that is needed to fulfill your role as a father or father figure to someone in need. Listen to His guidance, his love. Follow after His word and your children will follow your example. Though you will trip up, fail and fall at times, there is always forgiveness to help you back on your way. Give forgiveness freely and your children will do the same. Walk in the right path and your children will follow after. Be all God wants you to be. Do all the things God calls you to.
Father’s are unique in their roles. A mother cannot do what a father can. Just as a father cannot do the work the mother was created to do for her children. No one can replace a father. A father is necessary in the lives of his children. Proverbs 20:7 A righteous man walks in his integrity; his children are blessed after him.
He gives us Roots so we can Fly. Roots and Wings.
