A Reminder For Satan – Lindsay Schmidt
August 23, 2019

There comes a time when we get sick and tired of satan thinking he can have his way in our lives. That point, that time is now. He begins whispering the lies in our ears. He works to bring us down and for a little bit there we might let him. We let him whisper and we begin to believe the lies. We begin to get overwhelmed by the unknown, the possibilities of life that we can’t change.

But today I have had enough.

Today, let’s fight. Let’s remind satan who he is and what he can and cannot do. Let’s remind him who we are. Let’s talk straight to him and say…

“Satan, you are not welcome in my home. You are not welcome in my mind or my thoughts. You will leave me alone, you will leave my children alone and you will leave my husband alone. You will not touch us. You will not whisper lies that will bring me down. I know all your tricks, I know what you have hidden up your sleeve. I am a child of the King. My children are children of the King. My husband is a child of the King. That makes you powerless. You only have power if I give it to you and today I am choosing to use the power and authority that God has given to me and refuse to let you have any say in what I do, what I think, or how I will go about my day. Today I am choosing to take back the control I have momentarily given over to you. I may have believed your lies yesterday, but, thank God, today is another day! Today I will not sit by and watch you take hold of my mind. I will not sit back and watch you take control of my children or my husband. I will not allow you to do your dirty work in my home. I will not allow you to use us as an example for others. Today, you will not win. I will. It is because of who God is that I can talk straight to you and tell you all the things that you will not be doing in my home. You will leave. You will take your dirty little helpers with you. And do not expect to see the welcome sign on the door for you anytime soon. This one-sided relationship of temptation and lies ends now. You are rendered powerless. You may be back tomorrow, but I’ll be here. Waiting. Waiting for you to try to sneak in the back door. I will tell you now, it’s locked. I know your tactics. I see your plans. I see the lies you’ve planted in my mind and you may have thought that you had me, but I am here now and my eyes have been opened to those lies. Not today satan, not today.”

Speak these things out loud just to be sure that he hears you. Today we are in control. Tomorrow is another day. But we will be ready tomorrow too. We will equip ourselves with the truth of God. Ephesians 6:13 – Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. There is no power in hell that can overcome a child of the King. Remember that the next time you find yourself getting dragged down or you start hearing lies being spoken in your mind. Be aware, be alert, be ready because the attacks of the enemy are subtle. He is smart. Guard your minds, your heart, your tongue with the truth from the word. Get ready because everyday is a new opportunity for satan to attack and he does not take a day off. So neither should we. Knock him out cold today. Refuse to let him in. Refuse to believe the lies. Then, tomorrow, wake up early and prepare yourself for the fight. Get ready to do battle against him again. You may get knocked down a few times, everyone does. The important part is that you get back up, you put your armor back on, and you choose to keep on fighting. Believe that you will win and you will. Believe that you have the power because you do. God gives us everything we need to be victorious. So wake up and be victorious. Today and everyday.

1 John 5:4 – For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

Deuteronomy 20:4 – For the Lord your God is he that goeth with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.

Ephesians 6:10 – Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

He gives us Roots so we can Fly. Roots and Wings.
